Publicly Appointed Expert for Verification
in Emissions Trading (ET):
The German law on emissions trading (TEHG) demands in § 5 (1) from
the operators of facilities covered by the law to report their verified
carbon emissions.
According to § 5 (3) TEHG the verification may be performed either
by environmental auditors und publicly appointed experts.
Additionally operators need to file a verified application according to §
10 TEHG for their allowances for every commitment period.
Dr. Arthur Pelchen is publicly appointed expert for "verification in
emissions trading" and for "verification
of aircraft emissions" at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Berlin and
promulgated by the German Competent Authority ( DEHSt)
as well as the relevant federal authorities.
